Athletics vs Rays 6/10/19
It was a pitching duel for the 1st 5 innings. Very few hits and a lot of good outfield catches on both teams. For the A’s, Anderson was starting his 1st ever MLB game and did a really good job at his debut. However, in the bottom of the 6th, 7th, and 8th innings the Rays were able to hit 3 2-run homers. Even though the A’s would score 2 runs back in the top of the 9th, it wasn’t enough.
Final 6-2 Rays over the Athletics.
I got to go to the game with an old friend I hadn’t seen in 7 years, so that in itself was a big plus. The Rays customer service gave me free parking, which was kind of them! Then, they surprised me with a very nice care package near the end of the game! It totally caught me off-guard and was so grateful! THe reversible TB Rays to old school Devil Rays jersey is definitely legit.
I noticed my car wasn’t getting very good gas mileage so the thought of a locked up brake made me take it to a service station. Upon lifting it and taking the tires off, it was noted that my back brakes were nearly gone and the front discs were imbalanced. Meaning that the front brake pads were not closing around the disc simultaneously, and this is overall not a good thing. Thankfully it was quickly fixed in less than 2 hours upon inspecting it at the shop. Those guys were great! Yet, I had to spend even more $ on fixing my old Subie even though this was work I would have had to have done regardless if I was back in Denver. I drove up from Ft. Myers after them fixing it to Tampa Bay, stopped quickly at the popular Cigar City Brewery, made it to Tropicana, then finished the night after the game having to drive a little further south to Sarasota, FL where I stayed the night. The bridges and view in the Bay Area was definitely beautiful and massive.
