Oakland County Coliseum
Mariners vs Athletics 6/16/19
The A’s had a slight lead near the middle/latter part of the game. Khris Davis even hit a sweet 2 run homer on his bat giveaway day. There was an unfortunate drop in right field causing the Mariners to then score 4 more runs and keep the lead.
Final 6-3 Mariners over the A’s
I accidentally parked in an area I wasn’t sure about, but then someone tailgating saw my written window signs about my trip and gave me a good local beer saying “welcome to Oakland”. The bats they were giving away weren’t just the small 12” commemorative bat, but no...it was a solid 28” long wooden bat. I apparently bought a ticket of someone accidentally selling it, then they let me have another ticket they had on the front row. I got to meet this sweet family and awesome 4th grader named Emily. She had an amazing sign for Grandpa Joe hoping to get on the big screen as I was. The front row seats were awesome. We were right next to the opposing teams bullpen on the side of the field. We may not have gotten on the big screen at the stadium, but did make it on the A’s broadcast TV! It was so awesome to see the text from Grandpa Joe that he got that message from Emily!
Later after the game I took the long drive around and made it to see the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. It may have been really cloudy and windy, but the scene was amazing!
