Red Sox vs Tigers 7/7/19
Tigers started out decent with a run, but Red Sox got a 2 run homer in the 2nd and more runs in the middle and latter part of the game. Tigers did make a tiny comeback with a 2 run homer themselves in the bottom of the 8th. It was the 150th win for David Price, and the Tigers continually struggle.
Final of 6-3 with Red Sox over the Tigers.
I got to the game around the 3rd inning due to travel time and distance from Chicago since this was a day game at 1 PM EST. I got to go to the game with a good friend of mine from my World Race squad back in 2010/2011. So being with her and catching up made my day on top of other events. After taking pictures behind home plate, a fan pointed us in the direction to a guy named Ike Blessit. He didn’t play much for the Tigers a long time ago, but still a treat to meet a former player and have a good chat about baseball and my trip. The Tigers community relations dept hooked me up with a very nice care package of all sorts of items of the team! I stopped by the pre/post game production booth, as I try for each stadium to say hello to the reporters and show them my sign and share about my trip even if it’s just a sentence or 2. These guys went above and beyond what I was thinking. They got their roaming reporter to come and interview me for a solid 3 minutes on LIVE TV! I didn’t really know how long they’d let me talk on the interview and about what or how it looked on TV, so it blew me away by the air-time. Thank you Fox Sports Detroit. I feel so honored. :). Other than getting on TV, I really did enjoy this ballpark and is a surprising favorite.
