Twins vs Indians 7/14/19
Twins had already won the series, and the Indians were just trying to steal a game away from the division leading rivals. It was a pitching duel with Berrios and Bieber, who both played for the American League during the All-star game a few days earlier. Cleveland did strike 1st with a run in the 1st inning and 2 more in the 4th. The Twins did come back and tie the game after putting together a string of hits and lucky plays in the 7th inning. Santana, the home team favorite in the home run derby and all-star game, came up and hit the game winning home run in the bottom of the 7th. Great game both hitting, fielding, and pitching wise.
Final: 4-3 with Indians on top of the Twins
After already being at the stadium for the all-star break, I tried exploring a bit more of the park that I couldn’t do during the ASG. The Indians organization was kind enough to give me a care package. Thanks Indians! My friends and I sat in the Left Field bleachers in the sun for a bit, but thankfully the shade came for the last 3 innings. I can’t tell if I got on TV or the Jumbo-tron, because the screen was literally right behind where we were sitting. I enjoyed the close hard-fought game for sure. I was even right next to the fella that brings a drum to all the Indians home team games. They call him Drummer John. He beats the drum to get the crowd to clap along during pivotal key moments of the game for both pitching and batting situations for the Indians. Overall, I enjoyed my time yet again at Progressive Field!
