GLOBE LIFE PARK!
- homey feel with the design (grand-ma’s house)
- crazy good meal options (broom-stick 2 ft long hot dog)
- large open air concourse walking areas
- section attendant let me sit right behind dugout for the last few innings :)
- Large Screen displays seemed to be at odd positioning for viewers (my opinion)
Baltimore came out of the game hot. They scored 4 runs in the 1st. Orioles had 5 home runs in this game with their catcher hitting 3 of them. WOW. Starting pitching for the Orioles did well.
Choo for the Rangers hit his 200th homer in this game.
Rangers were down 12-5 and made a crazy 9th inning comeback! They came up just short even though they had 6 runs. It was really exciting and made the game really electrifying.
Final 12-11, Orioles.
The Texas Rangers community affairs hooked me up for this tour. They gave me and 2 friends a personal tour of the Globe Life stadium. I felt so honored! It’s such a sweet park. I felt like I was at grand-ma’s house due to the white picket fence style design in dead center field area. I did find out they’re re-purposing the field for the XFL and Concacaf soccer matches in the future. The new stadium next door will have a retractable roof, since it gets really hot in Texas apparently. ;)
Getting to walk around the stadium with no one there, on club level, in private lounge rooms, press boxes, and dugout/field access made it such a sweet tour! I’ve NEVER been able to do something like that before.
I did get several Orioles to sign a ball and even got their head coach to sign my MLB flag!
