1st leg of traveling from St. Louis to Miami. I got a decent amount of sleep that night and headed on the road back home to Central GA around 7:45 AM local time. Lots of fields and green all around. Nothing too exciting except the fact of driving on familiar interstates back in the South. There were a few massive thunderstorms, which were much enjoyed after not seeing a legit storm of these sorts out in Colorado. The only major slow down happened in Atlanta, which is to be expected and something you can mentally prepare for on such a trip. It was fun getting people to wave or give me a thumbs up on this segment of the drive. There’s always something special about driving back in your home state. I made it home with plenty of time to go eat at a local favorite restaurant for some comfort food in my home town, Tapatios. So delicious.
12 hours driving.
